In an interview on CNN this morning, Chris Cuomo tried to point out that Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani has altered his tune on whether or not a president can be subpoenaed. TL;DR: Giuliani said during the Clinton years that a president could be subpoenaed; today he’s saying the opposite.
But Giuliani was having none of it and when Cuomo played video of the contradiction, Giuliani talked over it until the producers caved and cut off the video to hear Giuliani speak. Check it out:
Lol. I’ve never seen a guest trying to talk over a video clip showing they’re lying. But Rudy gave it a shot. pic.twitter.com/O43nczsHvq

An libs are pissed that Giuliani’s maneuver worked:
Wait does this work in court, can you just talk over evidence as it’s submitted so no one hears it? 😂🤦🏻♂️ https://t.co/d52DletTx6

And they let him. https://t.co/fdeUKFTGc6

At least from this clip, looks like it worked. https://t.co/0UV7HMrcIT

Giuliani didn’t just give it a shot here. He won. The CNN control room decided to allow his objections to drown out their own relevant evidence and then cut off the clip before it was finished. Everyone who works at CNN should be embarrassed by this. https://t.co/OBby1fOZji

What's so frustrating about this is CNN clearly has a mute button, they had the perfect clip to play, but they let Rudy talk over the clip so viewers never even got the full info https://t.co/gVwyzn7fTC
