Here’s some good news for those of us who can stand a little less leftist lecturing in our entertainment. Fox is picking up Tim Allen’s “Last Man Standing” after it was abruptly canceled a year ago around about the time Tim Allen strayed from the leftist Thought-Police.
From CNN (of all places):
“Excited?” said Allen in a statement via the network. “Team [‘Last Man Standing’] was in the sixth inning, ahead by four runs, stands were packed and then for no reason, they call off the game. It leaves you sitting in the dugout, holding a bat and puzzled. Now we get the news from FOX that it’s time to get back out on that diamond — hell yes, I’m excited!”
The series is set to air on Fox during the 2018-19 TV season.
We can probably credit the success of the “Roseanne” reboot with the revival of “Last Man Standing.” Perhaps network muckity-mucks figured there’s money to be made when a show doesn’t look down its pompous nose at half of America. Turns out Republicans, like Democrats, enjoy a little time in front of the boob tube. When a show appeals to them, without insulting all they hold dear, ratings rise.
“Last Man Standing” was canceled around the time Tim Allen started making noise about Hillary inflated her pantsuits with pure evil.
Let this be a lesson to Hollywood: even moderately conservative shows are hits. It’s a lesson they’ll skip as they try writing a transgender love triangle, but at least I tried.
