Trump Slams Oprah Winfrey After Incredibly Biased 60 Minutes Panel
Trump Slams Oprah Winfrey After Incredibly Biased 60 Minutes Panel

Whether it is Fox and Friends in the morning, or 60 Minutes at night, when President Trump watches a TV show, he often lets us know right away what he thought of it.

He did just that on Sunday evening, blasting former TV talk show host Oprah Winfrey as “insecure” and expressing a desire to meet her in the next presidential race.

“Just watched a very insecure Oprah Winfrey, who at one point I knew very well, interview a panel of people on 60 Minutes,” President Trump tweeted late Sunday. “The questions were biased and slanted, the facts incorrect. Hope Oprah runs so she can be exposed and defeated just like all of the others!” (Related: Wait What? Ivanka Trump Praises Oprah’s ‘Empowering’ Golden Globes Speech)

Oddly, Oprah appeared on the one-time great news program with a heavily slanted piece on Trump. She opened with this:

“One year into Donald Trump’s presidency, Americans remain divided, often unwilling to listen to what the other side has to say. It’s happening in families, among friends and at the workplace.” (Related: Dana Loesch BLASTS Oprah (and other powerful Hollywood women) with her own ‘truth’)

Some of her biased questions included:

  • “Who here believes that he made the comment about, quote, ‘s***hole countries?’ You think all presidents have used the term s***hole?”
  • “OK, so polls are showing that respect for the United States is eroding around the world. Do you care what the world thinks of the United States?”
  • “There have been some members of Congress, including Republicans, questioning his stability and fitness for office. What do you think of that, and do you believe he has the temperament to be president?”
  • “During the campaign, we are all aware that some 20 women accused him of inappropriate sexual behavior. There was the Access Hollywood tape of course. What do you all think about that?”

And so on.

Talk of Oprah maybe challenging Trump in 2020 began after the billionaire delivered a fiery speech while receiving the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement at the Golden Globes last month.

Oprah spouted the issue recently. “I am actually humbled by the fact that people think that I could be a leader of the free world, but it’s just not in my spirit,” she said earlier this month in a “60 Minutes Overtime” segment posted online. “It’s not in my DNA.”

While she says she doesn’t plan to run, that’s exactly what Hillary Clinton said — twice. (Related: ‘Oprah 2020’: NBC and Hollywood dub Oprah Winfrey ‘our future president’ after Golden Globes)

So it’s Trump vs. Oprah in 2020. Be ready.
