When a San Francisco Police Department officer learned that there was a boy who did not have a costume for Halloween, he just couldn’t sit around and let that happen.
In a video that has since gone very viral, an unidentified officer is seen delivering that young boy a costume for Halloween so he didn’t have to miss out on all the fun.
The look on the child’s face is priceless.
Take a look at the video below:

I won’t lie to you — the first time I saw the video, I teared up.
I think what gets me is the hug, but the whole thing is golden.
The video, which was shared by Fox 10 Phoenix’s Facebook page, has picked up better than 1.3 million views by Saturday afternoon.
I think the piece strikes a chord within all of us.
With as much vitriol as is hurled against police — even today with Donald Trump in the White House — it’s vital we remember the important things:
Police are here to help us, not hurt us, and the vast majority of officers are out there working for way less than they ought to be making because they want to make a difference.
It’s not a “nine-to-five” job for these people.
It’s the way they can give to their community.
When you think about that, the charity of this outstanding officer and the rest of the San Francisco Police Department are a little less surprising, and all the more heartening.
Please like and share on Facebook and Twitter and let us know what you think of the officer’s action.
