This sort of childish nonsense is why no sensible person cares what college students have to say these days and it hurts every young person.
Ignoramus students at ritzy Scripps College in Southern California erupted with silly claims that they feel “unsafe” because another student posted a photo she had taken standing next to Vice President Mike Pence, Daily caller reported.
McKenzie Deutsch is the student who posted the Facebook photo of herself with Pence. She is a student at Scripps College, the all-female branch of the Claremont Consortium.
Deutsch, a rising junior, was an intern this summer in the office of U.S. Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers, a Republican from the state of Washington.
Deutsch met VP Pence during her internship. And when Pence stopped by McMorris Rodger’ office, she posed for a snapshot with the pair.
She then posted the photo to her Facebook page.
“The places you’ll go, the things you’ll see, the people you’ll meet… What a day it was in DC!” she wrote on her page.
And then the snowflakes lost their tiny, hive mind.
Deutsch’s “friends” at Scripps jumped onto her Facebook page and began attacking her.
Some Scripps students even proudly noted that they only friended Deutsch so that they could call her names on her page.
“I don’t know if you understand that Pence want me and the people I love to be erased by any means possible. I don’t know how to express to you how it feels to see a fellow Scrippsie in this photo with someone who has shown himself so willing to commit institutional violence,” one angry student wrote under Deutsch’s photo with Pence.”
“Posing next to someone who is a direct threat to LGBT+ groups and other marginalized communities and posting this photo with a pleasant caption is not a politically neutral act,” the student declared. “It shows you as a person who smiles with our oppressors for the sake of a photo op.”
Another silly girl claimed that the photo made her feel “unsafe”… in extremist, left-wing California which is thousands of miles away from where the photo was taken.
Another student was openly hostile:
“Hmmmmm how many lgbtq folks do you need to help send to conversion therapy in exchange for reproductive rights from Pence?” the student asked.
Then she added: “Bitch.”
For her part, Deutsch was shocked at how many Scripps students broke the school’s uniform code of conduct and speech and said, “Their lecturing about diversity apparently does not extend to diversity of thought.”
