Nathan Snow, a 3-year-old from Fort McMurray, Alberta, was driving along with his canine pal, Lacey, when he was spotted by a Royal Canadian Police Officer. The officer pulled over and asked Snow’s parents if he could write Nathan his commemorative, first traffic ticket.
The parents obliged and started filming. What followed was a comical scene, combining the good-natured humor of a friendly police officer with the utter bewilderment of a confused toddler.
Even though Nathan didn’t quite understand what was happening at the time, the incident has left him quite satisfied overall. According to his mother, he’s now quick to point out any police vehicles the family sees.
Of course, Nathan’s parents say that they’re even more excited than he is. They are thrilled that their son’s first exposure to the police was a fun and positive one.
As for Nathan’s punishment for speeding? The officer decided to let him off easy, saying, “I want you to go home and help mommy with the laundry.”
Laundry isn’t too fun for a 3-year-old, so let’s hope Nathan gets time off for good behavior!
