A good Samaritan in Minneapolis is reportedly outraged that two very suspicious men he reported to police have received minor charges despite being allegedly caught with weapons, a drone, and bomb-making materials in their vehicle.
According to CBS, the good Samaritan actually confronted the men in their vehicle after observing them littering. He alleges that the men proceeded to jump out of their car and move aggressively towards him while uttering racial slurs.
CBS reports that the man subsequently called police, who searched the car the men, Abdullah Alrifahe and Majid Alrifahe, were driving. Inside, as CBS reports, they found “a loaded AK-46, another rifle, a handgun, a grenade, large amounts of ammunition, and what would later be identified as bomb-making materials, including a drone.”
Abdullah – who reportedly just recently left jail for a weapons conviction – is in police custody, facing a single felony weapons charge.
His brother Majid, on the other hand, is reportedly free and in the open, facing just low-level misdemeanor charges including disorderly conduct.
“For what they found in their car, that is way too light,” the good Samaritan, who now fears retaliation, commented to CBS.
The outlet further states that both Homeland Security and the FBI are looking into the men while criminal defense attorney Joe Tamburino – who is not affiliated with this particular case – says further charges may follow.
It’s not clear if that information is of much comfort to the citizens of Minneapolis who might be living in fear after learning Majid is back on the streets.
The reaction online, however, is very clear – and it’s not a positive one.
