Since Donald Trump became President on January 20, law enforcement officials have reportedly made more than 1,500 arrests related to sex crimes ranging from human trafficking to pedophilia.
This report comes via DailyWire.com, which also reports that in all of 2014, there were fewer than 400 arrests made in relation to sex trafficking.
“This should be one of the biggest stories in the national news,” remarks Liz Crokin at TownHall.com. “The mainstream media has barely, if at all, covered any of these mass pedophile arrests. This begs the question – why?”
Joseph Curl – who wrote the Daily Wire piece – gives some insight into that question’s answer.
“One, it would take away from the daily meme that Trump is owned by the Russians,” he writes. “Two, it would show that the President really meant what he said when he vowed to come to Washington and ‘drain the swamp.’”
Of course, in addition to promising to “drain the swamp,” Trump has also vowed to eradicate human trafficking.
The fact that Trump has actually made some gains in this department greatly diverts from the mainstream media narrative that his presidency so far has been one filled with broken promises.
Still, thanks to outlets like The Daily Wire, news of the surge in sex trafficking arrests under Trump has not been lost on a number of social media users.
Many, in light of the news, have spoken out in criticism of the mainstream media – and supposed activists – for ignoring this statistic.
